I know about the painting. I want to know when it was framed. So I have an idea of how old mine is. And it isn't a print. It is a re-make somebody did.

Hi! Firstly, the nameplate has no zip code for Manhattan, which went into effect around 1963, and it shows no area code preceding the Murray Hill phone number exchange which began in the late 40's to early 50's, I believe. So your frame is most likely from before those dates. The shop is not there any longer, it's now a Courtyard Marriot Hotel.

It`s a reproduction of a painting by Goya, The Third of May, which shows Spanish partisans being shot by French occupying forces (1814).
