If their main output has been thrown on the wheel i would say potter. I might say potter too if they handbuild functional dishes or vases.

Otherwise, clay work that is strictly for art's sake i would say sculptor.

That would depend on how they work the clay. I for one and a Clay Sculptor and Potter.
