I am a high school art teacher. I'd like to do soap carving with my high school students. I'm on a small budget and need to find safe carving tools, or even make them. I was thinking of just using bars of Ivory soap. Any suggestions?

We were there this summer and there is an artist there who paints pictures of cows on the beach, in the surf, and so on. I am desperately trying to find out who this artist is! I have tried searching everything I can think of. My hope is to find someone who has seen these and knows who I am talking about. Thanks!

I have a digital photo I wanted printed, taken on an Canon EOS model camera. The print is for my Dad for his Birthday, and I want it too look good.

I have used the "digital printing services" in places like Jessops and Boots for other photos, however I find they often get the levels wrong, often too dark, or the colours are slighty out. So I'm looking for a professional printers who can print the photo as it looks.

Any help or suggestion on places to try would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W55, and I've been told that I can get up to a 15 second exposure with it on "manual" mode. But I can't find where to change the exposure time (I'm not sure if "shutter speed" is the same thing).

A friend gave me a Kodak Easy Share Z-700 for my birthday, but close-up photos are extremely blurry. Any way I can improve the resolution? Thanks in advance.

I've recently purchased a Nikon Nikkorex 8mm zoom cine camera from ebay, and I am totally new to the 8mm film format and old traditional cameras.

Can somebody tell me how to use my camera?
And how the film works, like, does it need to be "fixed" like in regular photography? And how will I go about this?

Something quite detailed would be very nice.

If it's easier for you or you can't be bothered explaining all right now, my email is jbdtaylor@gmail.com or if you leave a telephone number I'd be more than happy to give you a call whenever suits you and you can walk me through it and answer all my questions.

Many thanks,
Johnny Taylor.

I recently made a drawing using pastels and I am going to frame it. The glass in my frame is unfortunately plastic instead and I want to know how I can use this frame and not have the picture smear and rub off on the plastic. Any ideas would be GREAT!! Thanks!

How neutral are neutral density filters? I mean, would they work with infrared and ultraviolet photography the same way they work with visible light photography? Infrared photography is nothing new, so I hope this isn't something that's just been overlooked.

I became interested in the photo by Lange of the Migrant Mother.

I would love to read some article, criticism, or opinions on it but I can't seem to find any.

Does anybody know of any website or known criticism of this photo?
