Visual Arts - December 2006

The picture is just like the picture on the movie Why Do Fools Fall in Love. On the scenes with Vivica Fox(Elizabeth) Larenz Tate(Frankie), inside of their apartment they had a picture hanging on the wall exact as I have. The name of the picture is New York City View. On the right hand corner of the pic is the word MAIO . It was funny because the picture in the movie is identical to the one I have. An older lady who was moving years ago gave it to my mom. Moms gave it to me. I imagine the pic is about 60' in width or longer . Does anyone know any thing about who may have drawn this picture? Or the significance of it? I do have photos.

I like to draw manga, and I know the three colours you can use are black, white, and some shades of gray. What I want to know is which colours fall under which category. I know black, dark blue, and dark purple goes under black ink. Can anyone tell me or give a site with this information?

make a picture, well to adhere the pictures i used spray glue an now they are framed. well now i see they glue is lifting up inside the frame, so im going to have to take it apart an figure out how to keep it from separating. any suggestions on how to keep collagues tight to the paper? like lamanating or special glues? im even willing to think of new framing ideas, anything to make this work

Does anyone know where I can get Parker Ink Cartridges, or even bottled ink in any colours other than blue or black, ie red. Do they even still make other colours, I used to have some but Ive not been able to get any in ages! Id prefer an online shop, in the UK, or at least that ships to the UK if anyone knows of any! I did order a 2GB memory card from newegg. $29 (with rebate), can't beat that! The 2Gb in stores are over $100! And this one is high-speed. Does your camera do motion video? Ours does video with sound. With the 2GB hi-speed card I should be able to record over an hour's worth of full motion video with sound. Our camera also does panoramic shots by automatically stitching together 3 shots taken side-by-side-by-side. Does yours do that? Oh and it also has automatic face-detection. If it detects a face in the frame it automatically focuses on it (you can see it highlights and frames the face on the screen) and sets itself in portrait mode and does red-eye and fill-flash if necessary. Does your camera do that?

i think his first name might be Don. he draws these pictures that have a 50s look to them and usually have some funny, sarcastic message. one of the pictures on his site is titled "The Baby Who Saved the World".
