I don't want it to be graphic.

I'm supposed to be showing irony.

Humans eat cows, it's irony that a cow would be eating a human, isn't it?

Have you ever seen the drawings of family/kids as cartoon figures. For example 3 kids drawn standing in front of a house and then you can have their names put on the drawing and have it framed? Any idea where I can get something like that? I thought it would be a cute present for Grandma to 13 kids for christmas!
Thanks

Please present a good convincing argument for your choice. Me, personally, I prefer b&w, because they bring out the character of the subject, unlike color, which enhances the flaws.

I am wondering if an Abstract artist might get some feedback, and possibly generate some interest in my work with a Yahoo blog or site.

I have a framed picture, looks to be charcoal, or pencil, of 2 ancient looking greyhounds standing by a tree eating something (?)...the frame also looks ancient. It is approximately 13"x 9" and using a magnifying glass, I can see a round imprint: "1892, The World's Columbian Exposition, Chicago, Illinois, 1893, Organized August 14, 1889"...is it worth anything?

As a kid I always thought to be an artist like a painter or sculptor was not just to be creative and technically excellent but also to send a message of the human potential to reach beyond the ordinary. With much of the art from picasso onward i dont see that message at all. I know many people will say different but what does abstract or conceptual art really do for the human spirit. It doesnt fill me with hope, more depression than anything. And whats the point in having art that doesnt bring out the best in humanity, how can anyone justify morbid "art".

The writing assignment will be to draft a formal letter or proposal as if writing to a major museum curator or artistic institution outlining the definition of digital art, the importance of digital art today and in the future, the relationship between the digital and other traditional forms or art, and the artists own personal interests and work. Papers should include well thought out definition and analysis from the course, reference to readings and artworks presented in class. Additionally students should include their own personal interests, cross-overs, and examples of work. The assignment while written in a letter or proposal form should still be considered a formal college paper that is written and composed at a higher
level.
