The writing assignment will be to draft a formal letter or proposal as if writing to a major museum curator or artistic institution outlining the definition of digital art, the importance of digital art today and in the future, the relationship between the digital and other traditional forms or art, and the artists own personal interests and work. Papers should include well thought out definition and analysis from the course, reference to readings and artworks presented in class. Additionally students should include their own personal interests, cross-overs, and examples of work. The assignment while written in a letter or proposal form should still be considered a formal college paper that is written and composed at a higher
level.

What exactly do you want people to do? Write the letter for you?

Why not start by putting your name/address and the curator's name/address on the page. Write two sentences explaining who you are and why you are writing. Then turn the above request into a series of questions about digital art and its role in museums today. Since I haven't taken your course, there's no way I can "include well thought out definition and analysis from the course, reference to readings and artworks presented in class." But you should be able to.

Good luck!

Edit: Well, I did give you some direction. Start out with the basics and get them down on the page. Write a two-sentence intro. Then turn your study into appropriate questions about digital art and its place in museums. Does the museum have any exhibits of digital art? If so, what are they? Is there anything unusual about the display requirements for digital art? How does the public respond to digital exhibits? Do you think the museum will acquire more digital art?

Ask questions like that and you should be able to fill in your blanks.

No, his cell is too low, and so he spends his days shuffling about grunting, wishing he had paid his taxes.
