To be labelled a "work of Art", a painting, sculpture or other art form should display certain qualities that are unique. However, over the past century there has been a decline in the quality of prize-winning artwork and it is now possible for quite ordinary pieces of art to be labelled "masterpieces" whilst true works of art pass unnoticed. Do you agree or disagree? Give me you reasons. Thanks.

Sometimes a smile just doesn't seem fitting. Will people look back a hundred years from now and wonder why everyone was smiling? Hardly anyone was smiling in old photos, but perhaps that simply reflects challenging lifestyles. What does all this smiling and saying 'cheese' say about us?

I have an art piece that I wish to sell on ebay. There is nudity, but nothing pornographic or explicit about the piece.
What are the guidlines pertaining to art submissions on ebay? I looked on the site but could not find anything pertaining to art. Would this piece have to be listed under "mature audiences" even if it is artistic nudity?
Any help would be most appreciated.

List of questions/ creative questionnaires to clients if they asked me to design the logo identity. The goal of the question is to meet the clients' need in getting their logo right on track and get what they want. The questionnaire doesnt need to be heavy, just very casual & relaxing

I have all my pictures I take on my Myspace right now, but so far, all I've been able to do is this..

www.myspace.com/blinxpix

And I don't think that will really work, is there some way I can disable the right click button without using Java maybe? Or is there some other way to insure my pictures are not stolen? Please help.

I am painting a still life with a wine bottle (half full of red wine). How do you reflect the colors behind the clear glass in the wine glass? Which technique do you use? i.e....using the colors and then soaking it with water to dull it down, or using the background colors and then dabbing white or gray on top??

Thanks!!!!

Basically in the Uffizi gallery courtyard lots of people sell these, one of the ones I bought was a closeup shot of the finger of God giving Adam the spark of life (Michelangelo's painting in the sistine chapel). The other was of a beautiful woman, nude and bathing in a body of water. Now I lost these both in a Venice hotel, and I want to buy them again somewhere but I forget the name of the artist who did the beautiful woman painting. Does anybody now the name of this artist??????????? if you do I'd be eternally grateful.

I enjoy making things such as perfumes (the old-fashioned way), and I love photography. Hopefully, I can start to sell these online. However, I need to know if there are any restrictions or certifications I need in order to do so.

I do applique and embroidery and quilt piecing by hand, usually from my own drawings.

I am interested in automating these processes as much as possible, because I am losing both eyesight and manual dexterity with age.

From my investigations so far, embroidery machine manufacturers provide proprietary software with their machines, and this limits the designs to that machine. Besides, each design is a new cost. One can buy a software to convert designs into another format, but conversions often lose something in the translation.

What I want is to be able to use my own design, from one of my graphics programs, and duplicate it in cloth and threads.

Any advice from those of you who write software, or are fiber artists?
