Hello Henny,

Sure,
You can make tables and chairs for dolls, or fun.

I have seen the top cut off, around the rim. Then cut the cylinder in strips down to the bottom - many strips about 1/16 inch. You will have to experiment with it.

Put 3 of the strips together for table legs, and twist the center of one of the 3 around the other 2, to hold the other 2 in place. Roll up the other 2 into tight rolls, like legs. Then grab the tip of some of the strips and roll them up, for frilly affects.

for Chair backs and arms, you can bring some of the strips up, (above the bottom of the can, which is the seat), to form arms, backs, etc. You have to have enough to make the legs though.

I found some websites that might interest you.
This one:
http://familycrafts.about.com/cs/forpreteens/l/blcansodatrt.htm
has some neat children's projects. (I like the Halloween Lantern idea.)

There's also a site for "tin punching":

http://www.punchedtin.com/tinpunching.htm

which looks pretty interesting...

This site has links to tin can crafting projects that might interest you:

(I used a search criteria of "cola cans" +"create art" which brought up several hits, then I clicked on a few of the links to get what I imbedded here. You can do your own search to get other hits.)

Happy crafting!
