Visual Arts - October 2006

The structure has to be made entirely of toothpicks and wood glue. I'm not looking for the most toothpicks in one structure (that's the 3 million toothpicks by Michael Smith in his alligator), I'm looking for the tallest structure made from toothpicks.

I just need a starting point. I've taken a few really cool ones, but I feel like I'm looking too hard. I don't have any landscapes around me, I live in the city. I'd like to start taking pictures of people in their element, but I'm afraid they'll think I'm weird, because right now I just have a regular "tourist" camera. Any idea how to get people to let me take pictures of them with this little thing and not look like a stalker? Also, any pointers on finding a good angle?

I am looking to find out how much the average life model charges in Australia. Keeping in mind of course that a life model is not a porno baby so please keep the pervy answers to yourself. Or if anyone knows of any ideas I can use? We only have microsoft works on the computer and we would much rather just try and save the money. Any ideas about fonts and clips art or anything like that would be really great. Give me a paint and brush and I am fine. Give me the computer and my creativity goes out the window.
