I have taken some 10.3 mega pixel photos and i want to enlarge them to make a mural...how do I work out the dpi they will print at?

it depends on the dpi max of your printer. If your printer is a 300, you'll never get better than 300; conversely, if you have a pro quality one you can get up to 3000.

What software are you using? In Photo Shop you can go to Image size, and it will tell you the current dpi on the file. Other software should tell you too, but you'll have to look around for where it is, might also be under resolution in another program.
Whether you are printing it yourself, or having it taken somewhere to be done, find out the maximum dpi for the printer and try to use that. If the printer prints at 300 dpi there's no sense in having 600 dpi on your image.
Also keep in mind that big prints (poster size, murals) are ment to be seen from a distance away, so when you look at them up close, they may look blurry. Have a friend hold it or prop it up so you can take a few steps back and look at it at its normal viewing distance
