Im in band but im in the colorguard, were considered Flagets, but that's fine as long as it comes from someone in band. But there are cool people in band, i think its cool just to b able 2 go on 2 the football field without having 2 play football!

The truth is, if they are good, marching bands at most schools are considered cool and the school is proud of them. Most football coaches even lobby on the bands behalf to get money to go to away games. Its just a stereotype that is portyayed in movies that is just not true in a lot of places. If the band sucks, well that is another story. If any school group is bad they are made fun of - even the football team.

Band Geek is just a popular phrase, got nothing to do with the people. I'm worried about the sports teams, the rest are OK. The smart folks always do extraciricullar stuff like band or newspaper.
I wouldn't take any value judgement given in high school seriously! High school is a complete do over. After high school, you never see the people again. Nothing counts. Live it up!

ok, so here is the deal with band. it is easy to pick on people in band because often there are people in band who are geeky. plus, movies have given them a bad wrap. but, if you get past all that, it seems like band people really do have a lot of fun. i was never one of those people when i was in high school, but now that i look back on it, the band kids did have a lot of extras and fun. it must be that fun if they came up with that famous phrase... "and that one time, at band camp..."
just ignore what people say. being cool in high school isn't important at all once you graduate. just enjoy your friends you will make and the fun you will have.

you mustn't stop band only using fact human beings think of it is for geeks. as long as you talk approximately different issues beside you violin then you ought to be large. i understand some human beings in band that have somewhat some pals and that are considered often happening. you mustn't stop in case you reside you will meet human beings with a similar hobbies and it will provide the possibility to make some stable pals.

Band "geeks" are knwn as being cool and as having brains - more brains than those jocks have! Jocks don't know anything in the classroom OR in the bedroom! All talk, but they don't satisfy. I always preferred the intelligent artistic types! Yummm.

I play tuba in my school band and people who think we are geeks are just jelous cuase they have no lives, we must unite and remain proud because the people who aren't in band are the geeks!

i totaly agree. i wanted 2 b in band but i couldnt so i envy ppl in band. i think its totally cool. u r not a geek @ all.
