Similarity should be standard... it should not be like animals have tail & humans don't.

& the difference should be unique.

When I was a freshman in college I thought that everyone would get along. I didn't think people would reject each other. Now, I've become more realistic and realized that people will continue to hate and ostracize one another. It will forever continue. It doesn't matter what age group you are in. For some reason, I don't want to accept that I will never fit in. I am always trying to look for ways, skills to communicate with people around me. I am Ghandi in a way. They see me as the weak one, but I see myself as the strong one. I refuse to hurt someone intentionally. It's just WRONG.

I often feel like doing something terribly immoral, but almost always do the "right thing". Is it my impulse or my actions that make me who I really am?

What am I talking about?

For example: There is an abundance of research in the field of Neuroscience aimed at identifying networks and molecular alterations in the brain that are responsible for “abstract” or “mystical” experiences (i.e. spirituality, religion, altruism, love).

How much of the Human Experience (in your opinion) will eventually be explainable in terms of evolution and physiology?

And/Or

Do you believe these explanations alter our self-perception?

If there is one constant in the universe it is that all things are relative to the observer. Show a scene to three different people and they will see three different things.

Couple with this the fact that the only way that we (our brains) know anything about the world is via the signals provided by our senses and our sense of reality become very shaky, since our senses are not the be all and end all. Recent studies have shown the minor interference can cause major problems with the senses, a low drowning noise can throw off balance, a flash of light can mask something behind, the eyes can see one thing but the brain will interoperate it as another.

Given both of these 'problems' with perceiving reality, and the fact that we have no independent model to run from, something that we can go to and check to see if what we 'see' happening is what is happening, how can we be sure that what we perceive is reality? How do you know that what you are doing now is what is really happening?

Please explain your answers, including an example if possible to help explain your answer?

Thanks.

On a purely fantastical level, that is? It seems like I'm always having even the smallest of things occurr and end up going "I wonder how life would be different if this and that happened instead..."

Thanks!
