be on welfare and take the easy way out.... or work, mind you working hard is better so you can have the things that you want. Thats what i think, even though i am not working right now because i have a little one and I have colitis and its very hard just having a normal life. Just want your opinion.

Depends on whether you are well enough to work.

I am not working either. I have a terrible income at the moment. Its not enough to pay the bills!!! So I am in the process of trying to find a job! I would rather work hard. Its rewarding and the check is something that you worked for.

Not to mention that welfare is making people work anyway!! So.. you should just try to get a job on your own.

There are some who would argue that welfare is not the easy way out. Working hard is better. It keeps you healthier, makes you feel better about yourself and lets you contribute to society. Welfare is the exact opposite. And it often leads people to dispair. I've worked since I was 12. I've always made my own way in the world and I think I'm better for it. Believe me I don't envy people on welfare.

I'm on Disibility for a number of things including Lupus..... I dislike it. I wish I had the energy and strength to work hard again....... BUT I'm working hard on returning to it. In the meanwhile I like trying to help others, moreso emotionally,etc..

some people are happy living w/ the bare minimum, some crave more... its personal preferance. of course its better to work for your own! you get more & you can feel good about it, but at the same time, another person may not feel they need/want/have to work...

why do you want this opinion?
do you want it to choose the road less chosen?
diverging in the wood?
this will make the difference!
but is this a different approach?

be active.
call it work if you want.
never get comfortable with handouts.

but in the end it all depends on you.
