God is all knowing. He knows everything way before it happens . He knew Adam and Eve were going to mess up ,so why not just cancel the plan on the human race. He knew there would be lots of suffering and hatred. He knew we were going to mess up..we are a mess you know! He knew we would make HIM cry so why go thru with all of this?? I hope someone out there understands what I'm trying to say.

A proposition is an assumption if and only if it is granted without logical inference or empirical data. For example, the law of non-contradiction or the principles of the scientific method.

I'm looking into the question about whether René Descartes was a Catholic priest. Wiki and Google seem to have no mention about it at all, but I'm just checking a few more resources (Including yahoo answers). Thanks.

So Atheists always like to think that they are the "logical" people because they believe in evolution. What they don't realize is that evolution is very illogical. The first law of thermodynamics says that energy can not be created or destroyed. If that is true, the little "big bang hole" could have not brought itself to existence by itself. So atheists can't say that they don't believe in God because they don't want to believe in "incredible things." The big bang hole coming into existence by itself sounds like "a very incredible and ludicruous thing itself." So, what have you got to say?

If there will be a sea battle tomorrow, and someone says "there will be a sea battle tomorrow" then that sentence is true, even before the sea battle occurs. But given that the sentence is true, the sea battle could not fail to take place. This argument can be rejected by denying that predictions about the future have to be true or false when they are made - ie, rejecting bivalence for sentences about the future. In other words, if there is a fork in the road, it can be said you will go left or you will go right. So;

1) There exist now propositions about everything that might happen in the future.

2) Every proposition is either true or else false.

3) If you accept statements 1) and 2), then there exists now a set of true propositions that, taken together, correctly predict everything that will happen in the future.

4) If there exists now a set of true propositions that, taken together, correctly predict everything that will happen in the future, then whatever will happen in the future is already unavoidable.

Maybe not Necessary sadness, but when things are going okay in your life, are you always looking on the negative side. Almost as if you know something bad thats going to make you sad is going to happen. And after a while, for me at least, i start to feel like sadness is ok, and maybe i want it. B/c with it you'll never have to wonder if something bad is coming.

We cant find any other organism worshipping God or showing signs of belief in God. Then, why do we put so much effort and thought on this? What makes us want the concept of God this desperate?
