Of the people I know, there are two basic groups: those that drink and party, and those that don't. I've always been a "good" kid, my father is a pastor, and I've never had a sip of alcohol. I'm 18 and started college this year.
Those that don't party tend to think that those that do are being stupid and are basically throwing away their lives. Those that do tend to think those that don't are just uptight and don't know how to have a good time.
Who is right?

..do you suffer from the fallacy or delusions of making up your mind, (based of simple deduction of events now and not knowing the next event; your knowledge, fact and truth is based on events that come before it) and rational thought is really based on preexisting natural laws and assumptions that are rife with folk assumptions (assuming that chaos is not capable of rational explanation.)

Then, what claims would you make of yourself or of another that you or they, are unpresumptuous and an unassuming person ?

and it skips and won't write, and you scribble somewhere else to get it going again, it STILL won't write in that one spot where it didn't write before!? It's like it cursed or tainted or something. You try to go back over the letters/numbers you tried to write the first time, and the pen will work everywhere but that one spot. It's infuriating...

Every time, and it seems quite frequent, someone asks about “I think, therefore I am” there are always some people who say that it means one of:

-If I don’t think then I am not (either morally, or factually)
-If I think I am something (eg I think I can do x) then I am that thing (I can do x)
-The only real thing is thought
-You should think before you speak
-Thinking describes the sort of person you are

My question is for those who have answered like the above: why did you think that?

-Did you guess?
-Is there a site or book somewhere saying that? (reference please).
-Is that what you want it to mean?
-Have you come to that conclusion after reading Descartes?

I just had a nightmare last night about Dracula. Whew it was really horrible, to be captured by a group of them and know what your fate is then, as you witness their horrible attack and struggle to suck one’s blood, just in-front of your eyes. That made me wonder, if any one really believe these creatures exist? And if you do, then on what bases?

At what PRICE, you could BE BOUGHT? Your MIND, BODY, SOUL... your FREEDOM and your FREE-WILL? In short, totally YOURS?

I believe that anyone can be bought... the problem is: How much? At what exchange?

How about you then? For example, will you even sell YOURSELF for a happy and loving family? Or for true friendship indeed? Or the whole total world domination? Or for the entire universe?

I felt love-(agape) was the most meaningful thing in life but I now profoundly despair.
We experience love so powerfully because of bio. chemicals, naturally occuring, others influenced by will, chemicals all same. I think that initself doesnt diminish the feeling at all, -explains it. But, Perhaps other chemicals could make an even stronger feeling, one that could challenge love in its experiental quality
EX:: lets say on another planet somewhere there are people just like us, but 2 types of people. 1 group of people have brains that produce chemicals making them feel love is the most meaningful+true thing, they affirm it. The other group for some evolutionary reason, have brain chemicals making them feel hate(x) is the most meaningful+powerful feeling. Both feel absolutely their feeling is truest, even have 'faith' when in doubt. Now Sub. any feeling in for x, imagine, feel, minus bias
Please help, this RUINS me. Im sure we tell love is true and should be, because of it's feeling.
