I just had a nightmare last night about Dracula. Whew it was really horrible, to be captured by a group of them and know what your fate is then, as you witness their horrible attack and struggle to suck one’s blood, just in-front of your eyes. That made me wonder, if any one really believe these creatures exist? And if you do, then on what bases?

I am from Romania and believe me Dracula is just an invention to attract silly tourists! I am desgusted at hearing so much about "Dracula" ! Vlad the Impailer was one of our greatest rulers, he fougt for our independence, yes he was cruel but if you check out a history book, you will see he wasn t that bad comparing to other rulers of that time! During the time of his reign people were very happy, only odious criminals and traitors were impailed! He did not drink blood!! He was called Dracul becouse he was part of a noble order called Draco Draconis, not becouse he was worst than others! What Bram Stoker wrote was from his imagination mostly...it is time people understand that!

It is true. Dracula was an extremly cruel person, living in Transylvania(by the way his castle is on sale right now). But as far as I know he was a landlord and he tortured his tenants if they could not pay the taxes, and there were a lot of stories about him among people: like that he drunk the blood of the people he killed, and that he turned into a bat at night all that stuff. And you can visist his Castle if you go to Romania, its a kind of a museum. Oh and another thing the myths of vampires doesn't start with him. Vampires were originaly seductive women from apocrifs of the bible etc. see the pages..

Dracula, Vlad Dracule, was a real person. He was a Prince of Romania in the 15th or 16th century. He was called "Vlad the Impaler" because impaling was his preferred form of execution.

When Bram Stoker wrote the book "Dracula" he was inspired to use Prince Dracule as the vampire. He had learned of the legends of vampires while traveling through the mysterious lands of Romania and Transylvania.

As for whether or not vampires actually exist: maybe. Do I believe? I won't say I don't.

Historically, there was a real Prince Dracula, he would invite people to his castle, and then he would torture them. Finally he would behead them and put their heads on his fence posts. So yes, he was real, but he died along time ago. Vampires are not real at all though.

If you are religious at all, then pray, it always makes me feel better.
