and it skips and won't write, and you scribble somewhere else to get it going again, it STILL won't write in that one spot where it didn't write before!? It's like it cursed or tainted or something. You try to go back over the letters/numbers you tried to write the first time, and the pen will work everywhere but that one spot. It's infuriating...

The paper or surface may have on oily substance on it just in the spot you're trying to write on.
