Happiness is a state of mind. Nothing more, nothing less. There can be many things that will bring the mind into that state and many that will take it out of that state. For instance meeting an old friend suddenly in a street, planning for a vacation etc....but it is all temporary and not at all worthwhile. Did you ever notice that past happiness always brings sorrow when thought of later and past sadness brings happiness. So momental happiness is basically a key to long term sorrow and momental sadness a key to long term happiness. Both being just states of mind and nothing else.Every moment in our lives is worthwhile whether we are happy, sad, angry, hungry, lonely ....... or for that matter any state of mind.

I am happy with the person that I am, the way I treat my friends, the way I'm raising my son and my loyalty and dedication to my company and my life, and this is what makes me happy. I believe that when you are happy with these things in life, then you are truly happy. Before this came about, I always used to think that something had to happen to make me happy, or someone else had to make me happy. Until I realised that this was not the case. I believe in myself and am therefore truly happy. What makes it all worthwhile for me is that I was given the opportunity to live on this earth, to experience life and to raise a child. Only through trial and error did I come to realize this and am happy for it.

What makes me happy???.... the feeling of a nice shower before going to bed, waking up and hearing my husband and dog, safely asleep next to me, the smell of freshly washed clothes, the sound of wind blowing through the trees, my mothers "I love you", hearing George Harrison's "Is This Life"... I could go on for hours.
Life... that's what makes me happy.
