I hear there were ancient batteries discovered in Baghdad, but it is said that they are not batteries by mainstream historians.

I have read of colossal heads with African features discovered in Mexico that predate the Aztecs and Mayans, yet it is said that there is no way that there were Africans in Mexico and South America.

I am tired of being lied to. I want to know why it is impossible that Africans traveled to South America and why it is impossible that people who lived in the region now known as Iraq could not possibly have invented batteries?

If God created, and really, invented us, and everything about us, then aren't all of our thoughts and actions dictated by how God created us combined with our experience and past thoughts and actions?

Yes I know what you are going to say. "That's why he gave us free will." But even if we have the ability to choose whatever we want, the brain we use to choose was created by God and so is subject entirely to how God designed it.

Sadness is a feeling so painfull than death. I wish I can just rip it off my chest and throw it out. Its like inside you there is a monster eathing you alive. So much pain.

people often say our language can be vastly limited... is there anything that you think needs a new word to describe it? eg. misarmed - the experience one has when snuggled up with someone in bed but one or the other them has a spare and highly uncomfortable arm...
or (please take the hint) crassage - something said purely for the sake of being crude when something less gutter level was actually required...please feel free to TRY to be funny... or, like me, not...

Suppose, you are going through a quiet street on your bike on stormy and rainy night. There you see three persons drenched from top to bottom. And there is no sign or hope for any other human being.

First is an old man who can't survive this weather.
Second is your childhood friend who suffers from severe illness and must be back home soon.
Third is a love of your life, to whom you can't leave in this condition.

Your bike can accomodate only one more person.

What would you do? What will be your choice?

I am not for or against evolution, I am asking different questions about parts of the different beliefs that don't make sense to me.

How can chemicals and evolution explain me as an ego and not just me as an animal with thoughts and instincts. For example, you can theoretically create a robot that reacts to its environment, tries to protect itself, thinks, learns, has instincts, and even has emotions as controlled by chemicals. But that robot still wouldn't be a real being, but just a machine. They would not truly feel those emotions and wouldn't truly exist beyond chemicals, parts, and whatever else is used.

Shouldn't we, as humans, also be nothing more than neurons and chemicals? Yet each of us knows that we are conscious and real and feel things and have egos.

I beleive that modern Religion sprung into existense as humans started to live in communities. I belive that human nature is fundamentally selfish so in order to exist in a society there must be rules and punishments and the natural progression is a God in some form who exacts reward punishment. What do you think?
