We understand a concept, such as good, better when placed against its opposite, however there is no such thing as a "co-existence" between realities. There could be no evil in the world yet there would still be a knowledge of good. My actions towards someone could be seen as good, such as helping someone carry something heavy, but someone else could do more than mine, such as carrying it for them and setting it up at their house. In this case my action was good but the other person's action seems better. Am I evil for not doing more? Of course not. In the same sense love and hate do not co-exist. Understanding hate may allow me to comprehend love better, since they are polar opposites, but hating does not make me love more or better. It is fallacious to hold that we cannot recognize love w/o hate, that would mean we would have to be in a perpetual state of hate in order to love. We cannot do both at the same time, we would become an emotional and psychological mess. Children are great examples of what it means to love. Their natural trust towards people displays a love and affection that has no concept of bad or hate. That is why crimes against children are so heinous and malicious. Also, that is why it is pitiful to see children become older, because they are slowly introduced into a world of lies and deceit. Slowly there is a perception that not everyone is willingly looking out for others, and I must take precautions against that. However, in essence we are not introduced into love or hate, or good and evil at the same time. We only perceive these concepts in accordance to the experience we have had of them.

The opposite of Love is not hate, it is indifference.
But the answer is No. Goods can exist without evil, is Generosity and kindness any less generous or kind in a vacuum? The same with Love, are the devotion and caring any less because others don't share that feeling? No.

About good and evil, it seems true. Because we call something 'good' because we can separate non-good things and then look at it by comparison.
Love is a personal quality, a way of being, not subject to any outside situation, or condition. So, it can exist without even knowing hate.

Love/Hate, Good/Evil are both concepts that define each other.
Love/Hate is kind of sticky though, what's the first thing people feel when the person they love REALLY pisses them off - its hate. So in a sense, Love and Hate aren't exactly opposites. Love can certainly bring about hate, but Hate rarely brings about Love.

That's why it's called philosophy. It's a theory.
I don't know if one could "exist" without the other, any more than you could have "day" without "night," but it certainly makes it easier to compare and distinguish one from another.
Is there such a thing as ultimate evil? Who knows.
I do know there's some pretty evil MFs in this world.

Good is good and evil is evil, one does not cancel out the other. We would not know evil if it didn't exist we would only know good because we would have nothing to compare it to. You don't need to hate someone to love someone. You love someone for many reasons but not because you hate somebody. They are different emotions and one doesn't affect the other, they are just emotions.

Strictly speaking that is not true.
Pure goodness and pure love can exist on their own|
But what evil and hatred do is bring goodness and love into a much brighter light, as the light is seen much better in contrast to the darkness next to it|

If there was no evil, and everyone was good then that would be the norm and would not even be noticed or acknowledged. Good can exist without evil, but evil causes good to stand out so we can see that it is there, and vice versa.

it relatively is obtainable for romance to exist without hate. think of approximately what large climate is, to no longer chilly, and to no longer warm. Now think of residing with every day's climate being like that, in no way having undesirable climate. the assumption of climate in many situations does no longer exist on the grounds that there may be no version, yet that does no longer exchange the incontrovertible fact that the climate is large, it in basic terms potential which you will no longer relish it as much as three guy or woman who's conscious what undesirable climate is. the assumption of yin-yang, is definitely greater approximately complementary forces, no longer dualistic forces. relatively then thinking of it as stable and evil, that's greater like guy and female, or tall and short. A tall guy or woman can grab issues up extreme, a quick guy or woman can get into areas a tall guy or woman might locate it annoying to, mutually they supplement one yet another relatively then combat with one yet another.

To some extent that is true. If you can imagine a world where no person EVER hurt aother person on purpose in any way. Would our languages have the word evil? Think about it.
