I think they can be, there are some memory's that are not comfortable for some people, therefore they they change the events in their mind to make it easier for them to accept.

Not necessarily all memories are delusions. However, you may have delusive memories because of bad experiences. That's why, we keep experiencing good/pleasing things, just to avoid delusions and nightmares.

Chemically, biologically, reality wise, yes they are. We chose to remember things in such a way that suits us best. Does it matter? Not really. Your brain wont ever remember something like, you knocked a glass off the counter when the reality was, your brother killed your sister in front of you. It doesn't work like that. But you may remember your brother as having gone insane, or had a terrifying, delusional look in his eye while he did this. Your brain would be trying to dehumanize your brother to protect you from the idea that you as a human are also capable of the crime he committed. But to dwell on memories that we have, and try to figure out what really happened is like trying to turn the tides, it just isn't going to happen.

Not necessarily, but they can be. After decades, a memory of a dream might be remembered as a factual happening....
other examples possible, of course...

'Memories' are but shadows of the 'delusions' which created them.
