of a lot of us ,but I am an optomist with great faith in God and humanity. We need to be strong in our faith and deep in our abiding love.Hate exists but will eventually lose steam and the good in mankind will win out.No telling how long it will take ,but we can do our part by doing good for others and spreading the love.Evil can only grow where love does not,so love and stop hate in its tracks.Hang with optomistic people and it becomes contagious in a wonderful wayLove is the best thing that ever happened to you. so keep it flowing around the world If terrorism can spread ,so can love unstoppable

To cite the best application that I can think of:

A young child is brutally murdered and the family is grieving without consolation.

If we had the ability to bring that child back to life with full health and nearly all memories expect the recent bad ones (i.e being murdered), would you encourage scientists to make this technology a reality?

Having experienced life as it is, if you could go back to before you were born, would you choose to be born and go through it all again? By "all", I mean EVERYTHING! No additional knowledge or abilities, all the same...

I would choose: NO because I am an unhappy, unhealthy, deeply troubled person with no family, friends, or stable belief system.

Eternity is? This is my way of thinking about it: A bird takes one grain of sand, flies for a kazillion years to bring it to heaven, flies another kazillion years back to get another grain to bring to heaven again, over, and over and over again until there are no more grains of sand left on the earth. Stupid question, but I just wanted to know how other people could translate Eternity for me.

How is it that you respond to stimuli? Are you certain it is in a fashion that is truly free?

How and why are you so convinced?

I just fell like my life is going nowhere and I'll be stuck with a job I don't really enjoy, and my dreams of being a great artist are over with.

NO descartes please(he is not "I")
Although "I" may agree that the only thing that can be relied on is thought.
Unfortunately many take the thoughts of others and try to understand them. Where and what are YOUR thoughts? Every idea, it can be argued, is not YOUR own. Anyway, every thought, idea, concept, call it what you like, IS a thought, idea, concept, call it what you like. The thought of 'nothing' 'infinity' 'something' 'everything' are thoughts. Thought is all of these things- all of these things are thoughts. Surely if you do not doubt existence then you deny existence anyway. Thought exists-only thought exists. This cannot be refuted? But what is thought? Thought is "I". "I" am thought. P.S. No sollolppsssiismmsiiiissmmmmm please.
