This is a philosophical question intended to provoke thought about the human condition. Why do any of us bother to do the things we do? Does doing anything matter in the end?

You have a box with contents that are supposed to be very precious to you, but you have lost the key and cannot open the box without the key. If you try to force the box open in any way, such as smashing it open or picking the lock, the contents of the box will be permanently ruined. If you leave the box closed, obviously all you have is a box worth very little if un-openable. So, what would you do? And NO, it's not an egg.

In many societies wisdom=age and We are not saying this is not true. However, the more you think about it the more you realise that "out of the mouths of Babes and sucklings" actual everyday practical wisdom is all around. So, is real wisdom the ability to recognise a wise comment when you hear it? Or is it the ability to do that but also making the time to look and hear so you don't miss a really good thought, which explains the Age/Wise thing?

How can anyone still pay attention to the theory of social darwinism in this day of age?

I need your help in understanding this one folks.

I want to know what you think...give me your views...And if HONOR is an illusion...isn't everything else just the same? Why do people personify things? Is it indeed just human nature?

Can someone help me understanad the phrase MORAL LOGIC?
I am taking a class on suicide terrorism and authors throw it around like it is common knowledge. I thought I had a handle on it, but I read another article and they don't seem to be talking about the same thing.

if the universe is information and we as finite beings whose minds can process less than 1% of the stimulus we receive, than is a stone with no consciousness therefore "processing" 100% information... no? is that the hang up? processing? perhaps, like a stone, we process, but consciousness is how we WANT to process and is limited. I am so confused.
