man made machines can never be better than man so no question of their superseding man. don't you realise, when man makes a machine he knows its weaknesses also so he can out wit it any time he wants?

Mankind is currently subsumed by machines of his own making: Car, TV, computer, video games, etc. The fact that his soul is no longer as much his own, because of things he has made, suggests what you're talking about has already occurred at a metaphoric level.
