GOOD one.

Well, only sometimes.
Sure, this life IS all we get, but even the most miserable existence comes with perks - No matter how little we have at any given point, we are always the sole proprietor of a mind...
While it is open to debate whether we are truly the most intelligent species to travel this earth, it is not debatable that the human mind is a hugely powerful and immensely capable tool - faster by forloughs than any computer Silicon Valley can turn out, and able to interpret the world around us as a beautiful thing..... And there, in that one tiny trait, we find the glory of being human - we can recognize beauty. Beauty in the subtle dance between the symmetry of the man-made world and the asymmetry of nature, beauty in the information available to us all, beauty in the huge power of imagination, beauty in the ability to wax philosophical about the nature of this whole damn thing....
Being human isn't so bad when you take the time to actually be human now and then.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Life is what you make it, if some want to be on the wrong side of the law well that's their problem, but if you want a good life one has to work at it. being alive is a wonderful thing, many in the cemetaries would agree I'm sure. a smile is prettier than a frown any time. I don't feel short changed though things have not always gone to plan.

This life isn't all you get. You can have so much more. You're all probably going to think I'm insane, but I'm going to tell you anyway. Tell you the truth. God is real. He is neither "big daddy in the sky" or your "personal torturer". I'll explain. Have you ever stolen anything? Lied? We all know that everyone has stolen or lied, even I have. Well, the ten commandments say, both do not steal and do not lie, and because both of these are sins, everybody is already on their way to hell. But, God loves us so much, he wants us to love him back so much, that he sent his son, his only son to earth to die for OUR sins! You see, no one can save themselves. The person who could save would have to be perfect, no sin, and Jesus was the only one. So he died to save us, not himself, US. But he didn't stay dead. He came back to life and hundreds of people saw him. Then he went back to heaven. Read the Bible. You might find a truth that you've never thought of before.

You are a hueman being,spirit,unconditional love,"God dwells within you as you",your purpose is "being", you lived before you had this body and you will live after it is gone. All things are but a very,very sophisticated holographic expression of Gods vision of himself and in the end will all merge back from whince it came.

It's not all we get. We have to see these things to humble ourselves. If you can do something to stop problems, do it. If you can't, they pray. Even science has proven that the belief of prayer, especially in large groups of people for the same ultimate goal, is the truest medicine in healing. That pretty much says it all. Amen.

We forget to look at the Animals playing, seeing sun rises and sunsets, to enjoy the food that we have. We have to enjoy our family, and the loves we do have.

If I died today and that was it, I wouldn't Feel anything! So live for this minute!

Your question reminds me of the song "Life is a lemon and I want my money back" by Meatloaf.
