If I refer someone I dislike, in private, by a slur that actually applies to their group. EX:Some black man acts like a stereotypical white jerk would, but I call him N-word while making fun of him. Am I simply overcritical, or a racist pig?

I am writing a list of 100 things to do before I die I only have 40 so far and I want to see what people would put on their list of things to do. It could be places to visit, new things to learn, things to say or do or whatever else you feel you need to do before you die.

Think about it, why is there reality, and not a nothing. In another words: Why does "something" HAVE TO be, rather than nothing at all. if there is no purpose then there shoud be anything, but clearly there is. So why must something rather than anything exist at all??
Appreciate serious answers.

Explain, please, your True/False answer. Where I refer to evil and good, I mean moral evil or moral good, so don't go off on the other senses or uses of the words 'good' and 'evil'.

Why is it that one man can see the senseless slaughter of innocents for what it is only when someone else is doing it? Is not genocide the systematic elimination or wiping out of an entire race? Such being the case, what is to become of the Race of Man?

When it comes to what happens you die, I can accept two things:
One, is that your consciousness shuts down, which seems scary but if you think about it you won't be AWARE of it, sort of like before birth.
The other option would be that in some form you are still conscious, whether it be something as silly as floating as a ghost, or racing through the universe as now your consciousness is not behind the wall of our brains (http://www.near-death.com/experiences/judaism03.html is one of the few reports of NDE in which without the brain they were able to understand everything).
What do you think happens? What do you define as the human "conscious", and do you think it simply stops after death, or continues on somehow?
I would like to be conscious in some kind of way, because I do ENJOY being alive...but I've come to accept the fact that if I do just shut down - like I said, there will be no feeling of being sad about it, no worry or pain.
Please no "JUST CONVERT TO (religion)" replies. :)

I refer to black people as n i g g e r s but I don't mean anything insulting by it? And I don't say it to them, because obviously that's disrespectful.

No, I’m not wondering, myself. I’ve pretty much got it figured out. What I’m doing here is trying to provoke thought on the subject. Seems simple enough, right? “I make decisions, I have free will.” Well, how do you make your decisions? What factors are involved? Now what determined how those factors were defined? Other factors? What determined how those were defined? Are you making your own decisions? Or were they all made, and set, along with every other incident that has ever or will ever occur, whenever the universe began?

Note that this concept, if properly considered, cannot be used to evade responsibility for one’s actions, as responses, reactions, and consequences for those actions are equally preset.

I believe that somewhere in the universe there exists a group of 9 Badgers with the following attributes:

1) They are fluent in every known language, and languages not known to you
2) They each own a fleet of sports-cars
3) They eat 500 bald otters every hour
4) One of them knows I know

Can you prove that this is not true?

What do you think of the Beast in Disney’s 'Beauty and the Beast' turning back into the Prince at the end of the movie? Wasn’t the whole moral of the show about discovering the inner beauty of a person? So when Belle see past the hideousness of the Beast and love him for who he is, she gets rewarded with physical beauty? Frankly I think it is so not right. For example, would you like your pet dog to suddenly turn into a Fabio like stranger? Would you like your dad to turn into Tom Cruise? At least, Shrek got the whole moral thing correct.

But what if the Beast didn’t turn back into the prince? Would it be immoral for Belle to actually marry a Beast and consummate their marriage? Fairy Tales are so screwed up.

Somoene 5 minutes ago asked how many beers for her 14 year old 50kg, (roughly 95 lbs) is ok. And another person said that the wilderness ( outdoors, forests etc) is another dimention and was wondering how many of us "knew" that. From completely wacked out theorys to questions that people SHOULD be able to answer themselves, is logic being replaced with complete stupidity?
