Somoene 5 minutes ago asked how many beers for her 14 year old 50kg, (roughly 95 lbs) is ok. And another person said that the wilderness ( outdoors, forests etc) is another dimention and was wondering how many of us "knew" that. From completely wacked out theorys to questions that people SHOULD be able to answer themselves, is logic being replaced with complete stupidity?

Back seat? It can't even get a ride, thumbing at the side of the road.

"Get a job, hippie!"

I have to agree with you, and the guy put it so cutely who said, "it can't even get a ride." In fact, I think most of these "educated idiots" (they have no common sense,) as I've heard them called, are riding along, saying, "Give me 20 points if I run that one (logic) over?"
What has happened to reality, and common sense? Partly, I think it has been lost from parents not spending enough quality time with their kids, and passing on the common sense and things that they were taught; partly it is all this political correctness, where you can't tell someone they are wrong, even if they are; and partly I blame it on the schools, (who have just become babysitters, and crank out people every spring that don't know much of anything useful;) and then there's the media.
I have been saying that the media, a lot of the cartoons and shows are "dumbing down America." They have pretty much convinced the American public, they they think best, that we should just blindly follow along, and many do...they can't separate fact from fiction, and they act like the stupid characters from the ridiculous "adult" cartoons that they watch.
Great question, I have wondered the same thing myself!!

Some of these questions are absolutely unbelievable. I think we are seeing the fruits of the dumbing down process, imho. What scares me is the notion that if the 'parents' are asking questions like you referenced, then the children really don't stand a chance & they are supposedly the future leaders of the world?!?!?

Most humans are Pre-Socratic in their thinking. However, some of those who fly with pride the flag of 'logic' are just as ignorant about the tool them claim to wield with such force. Watch out for them too.

I didn't know logic and stupidity were connected. Stupidity seems to be in vogue these days. Maybe Answers merely reflects what people are really like.

We need a genetic mutation that would make stupid painful! Think of what a wonderful world this would be for the rest of us....
