Think about it, why is there reality, and not a nothing. In another words: Why does "something" HAVE TO be, rather than nothing at all. if there is no purpose then there shoud be anything, but clearly there is. So why must something rather than anything exist at all??
Appreciate serious answers.

absolutely right brother!!!

it's such a comforting thought that "in reality" there is nothing. there can't possibly BE anything.

it's somewhat of a paradox that 'everything' is...but yet there most definitely shouldn't be 'anything', logically.

I'm not sure about what reason i can give for believing so, but i suppose you have an idea since this is your question in the first place.

it seems that the very reason for things being is devoid of a reason.

"Nothingness" is the way. It is home.

it brings me down that there is 'anything'. it's not supposed to be that way. it doesn't add up, so to speak.

the idea of there being nothing is mind-boggling and at the same time exhilliarating isn't it? And it doesn;t make sense that there is anything. It's like some giant, massively blasphemous mistake in a calculator. Now multiply that zillionfold and you have "everythingness"

But all is not lost. There is yet hope for the creator. I'm prepared to forgive the perpetrator of this heinous crime if I can just fade away right now...

I wonder this from time to time... knowing all the while this question can never be answered. But it sure is curious that there is something rather than nothing. (if you know what I mean.)

Isn't nothing something? so therefore there cannot be nothing? I don't know. I think about this stuff too much. But I don't know the answer.

Apparently it is not a question the human mind is capable of answering with the tools that currently exist.

Whether it will be answered in the future is unknown by anyone.

No. religion doesn't answer it.
