What would you do if you lost everything that you had? Job, home, money, family, respect, etc.? Would you press on or would you give up? Would you try to get help or solve your problems alone?

Just thought I'd ask.

Each From Different Heights

That time I thought I was in love
and calmly said so
was not so much different from the time
I was truly in love
and slept poorly and spoke out loud
to the wall
and discovered the hidden genius
of my hands.
And the times I felt less in love,
less than someone,
were, to be honest, not so different
either.
Each was ridiculous in its own way
and each was tender, yes,
sometimes even the false is tender.
I am astounded
by the various kisses we're capable of.
Each from different heights
diminished, which is simply the law.
And the big bruise
from the longer fall looked perfectly white
in a few years.
That astounded me most of all.

You were mine.

I was yours.

Swept away.

Behind invisible doors.

Locked inside.

But I am free.

Know that you.

Will always have me.

You may move on.

And not look Back.

I realize.

We are on different tracks

You stay left.

And I go right.

But we were once.

In the same night.

You fell fast.

I wonder a lot.

Do you do that often?

Or did I hit a soft spot?

I realize we.

Could probably not be.

I don't expect.

To wait and see.

I can't forget.

What happened that night.

I carry it with me.

The rest of my life.

No regrets.

I couldn't lie.

Most people do.

But I didn't cry.

Life has changed.

Since that cold night.

It wasn't planned.

Blame moonlight.

A Poem Called Love

I've seen it hurt my closest friends

I've seen it make them cry.

I've seen it take their innocence.

I've seen it change their lives.

I've seen it turn it all a mess.

I've seen it rise and fall.

I've seen it make them look like less.

I've seen it leave with all.

With all of this I have a need.

I yearn to endure their ache.

I want to fall fast and hard.

Just for loves sake.

The Best Garden Ever

I found a little patch of dirt and this is no baloney.
I sprinkled it with sausage and some spicy pepperoni.
A dash of olives from a can, and then I added cheese.
Then, finally, tomato sauce. I’m growing pizza trees!

I want to know what you all think about this poem. Do you think it's good??

You told me once that you'd been hurt.
That made me think you'd do that to me never.

I soon found out that pain was coming my way.
You played me like an act in a play.

You acted as if nothing was wrong,
but in reality everything was torn.

When you choose to cheat, you choose to be the one to hurt me most.

Three years passed and soon we talk.
You tell me that you have something to say.

You tell me you could not go on this way.
The words i never thought i would ever hear you say, came out of your mouth that very day.

You said you're sorry please forgive i understand if you say no.

I sat there thinking that very day, that what does it matter if i say no.
Our relationship is ruined and i'm sure i'll see you never.

I went and saw a slideshow presentation of Al Gore's 'An Inconvenient Truth' and at the end were early photographs of Earth from space, and a really wonderful poem was read about one of the photos featuring Earth as a speck. Does anyone know what this poem might be / who the author was? I'd really like to know!

This is the second poem that I was talking about..once again please dont be offended by this its just my life..

Give Me Help:

Each day I sit here depressed
The urge to cut
Is still not at rest
I begin to wonder
if my life is set in hell
can you please help me
will you tell?
This is not a secret
it is something in regret
I feel like I have failed
what do I get?
a slap in the face and a punch in the ribs
will not give me those wonderful days
that you all seem to forget
when I fight my way out
of this mental illness
I will find others to help
not like what you did
thanks for the bruise
it has healed with a little booze
this pain is not erasable
it is only dead to you

do you think it is good?

I want a dictionary pocket book. Small enough where I can take it with me in my purse so if I do my homework at work, I don't have to carry a huge book! Does anyone know where I can find one either online or in a store?? I know this might be a dumb question but I just can't find any!

Don't really know how to explain but is the threat of washing a mouth out with soap something only females use? I have never heard males use this threat and am wondering if it is a "gender thing" of a sort? thanks

Hi to all, :) I need to get a copy of the last rites for my friends mom,as she needs to give last rites to a family friend tomorrow. I have google searched and gotten some feed back. Mostly, that it no longer is called the last rites but it is the annointing of the sick, which can be given when the person that is ill or dying is still alive. However, as far as what the actual last rites may contain,Does anyone have any information?...please let me know...thanks :)
