I'm writing an essay for history and my assignment sheet says "You are a french citizen and you want the americans to help you fight against britian. Write an essay trying to convince america to side with you."
I'm basically saying in my essay how we (the french) helped the americans during the american revolution against the british and that they "owe" us.

How did the french help the americans during the american revolution?

And any more ideas?

What are some examples of grievences that were eliminated in the Constitution. In other words, what were some grievences that the colonists had that were solved in the document.

Example: 3rd amendment does not require quartering of troops in homes unless there is consent from the owner of the house. In the grievences towards the British, the colonists hated quartering soldiers...

thanks.

Does anyone know where I can find a quote by Sir John French on the 'shell scandal' (the shortage of munitions at the battle of Neuve Chapelle)? All I know from the internet is that he blamed the British failure of the battle on the lack of artillery shells...

Any other quote about the lack of ammunition from early WW1 would also be very helpful.

However, I can't find any quotes in which he actually states this. I really need to find this quote for a paper I'm working on. If anyone knows of where I can find a quote, or has one in a history book- please, please let me know!
