I need some information regarding President Lincoln:

I looked up the the Presidential Election of 1860 and found that there were 4 nominees for that election. So does that mean that 4 candidates were chosen to run for that presidential race? Was it common back in those times to have more than 2 candidates?

In addition, I searched and searched endlessly, but what was Lincoln's Foreign Policy, and Congress's attitude towards him?

Legend has it that Harry Houdini died in 1926 from a ruptured appendix, after receiving multiple blows to his abdomen from a McGill University student, J. Gordon Whitehead. Whatever happened to Whitehead? Was he ever prosecuted? Did he ever express remorse? Is he still alive?

The Sheiff of Nottingham, Guy of Guisborne, the Dark Knight were all ''killed'' by Robin Hood last night. Only they were not dead. They had breast-plates which protected them from his arrows.

Hi. I'm 15 and I love history. In the future I wanna do something related to history. I'm actually considering becoming a history teacher. The problem is, I don't know if they make a lot of if the people I teach will appreciate the subject as much as I do.

My dad says that there will always be a group who'll love history and hell with those who don't like it.... it won't matter coz' your doing what you want.

I have my doubts though. I need a lot more convincing. What do you guys think? What should I do?

I wear a poppy on Remembrance Day to honour Canadian soliders who have served and died for my country.
I've place it on my left lapel of my jacket.
Is there an etiquiette for wearing a poppy for men? Is there a proper way to wear it?

I noticed on TV today that three military men came out of the chapel all carrying swords but two were pointed backwards and one forewards. Is this to do with rank or otherwise.

I have to write an essay about this question:
Why is the present elected leader of Russia trying to be a long life leader then ending at the end of his term?
... and how does this reflect the history of Russia?

[[I know nothing about this subject. If you have any comments, that would be great. Or, any websites would also be fabulous. Thank you.]]
