I can't, for the life of me think of their surnames.

They had like all this bad blood because one son married the other families daughter and then cheated with the other one? It was more than that but...you know.

I'm totally "read up" on them, but I'm just drawing a blank.

I know that way back when people usually went by their lineage or what city they were born in. But when was the transition between doing that and actually having last names?

Why is the world so deceived about the King Tut of Egypt?
Even the King Tut of Egypt got his identity stolen by a strange man. King Tut did not die. When a burglar tried to steal gold from the coffin of King Tut, he was killed by the Egyptian guard. And his body was put in the coffin of King Tut. And many years later, historians found this coffin and thought till today that was the mummy of King Tut. Why is the whole world deceived? The true King Tut was a nephew of former President JFK of USA.

In class my history teacher said that the very first slaves were sold to the whites by other rival African tribes that captured and enslaved them so it really the Blacks fault that slavery in America existed. Even if he only meant it as a class lesson I feel his way is quite offensive. I don't even one second think its the fault of any one living today and no one today should have to pay people today for it considering neither side was even remotely involved. Any way sorry for the side track. My question basically is this.....Was my teacher wrong? For not only teaching this(unless its true) and also for the way it was said. You cant help but sense the racism in his voice.

i think its cos most americans believe the films they make where they are the heros in everything, and are even told it in history at school,it was us brits that broke the back of the war,cos remember-Charles Lindbergh Warns America Not To Enter WW2 On April 23, 1941,and then On December 7, 1941 at 6:00 A.M., while Americans were still sleeping, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. and then america decided to help.there are old ww2 vets here that say "bahh, yanks came in at the last minoute and then bragged they won the war"

Whenever I see them on TV, with smiling, well-fed faces, shaking hands and slapping backs, I smell complacency and corruption. I hear again the voice of one of the few decent, honest, brave ones among them (since Adolf Hitler) - Jean-Marie le Pen, voicing their first consern (in mockery) : "Touch par a mon siege !!" (Don't touch my parliamentary seat !!).
hen I see him standing up in the house in answer to their snivelling attacks on his policies and singing some beautiful French folk song at the top of his fine, melous voice, silencing them all !! Oh yes, it happened at Strassbourg, more than once !!

Supposedly he wrote this after he retired from the Presidency. I've seen it attributed to a letter he wrote to John Adams. Another attributed it to a letter Washington wrote to a French official. Any ideas on the original source?

When you look at USA presidents they have all been of British decent except one Dutch & Irish. Have the British people kept up the power but now doing through the new world "America?"

President Bush even has royal blood leading him back to the British Royal Family.
