Does anyone know what drinking instruments were used in Carthage and Quart Hadast (New Carthage) during the second Punic war? It is my understanding that they primarily used cheaply manufactured clay for their cups. Would the military men have used skins or cups for drinking while at ease (not campaigning)? Thank you!

I have unsuccessfully been looking for what the Carthaginian currency was in and around the second Punic war. I understand that they did not use the coin system, but am unable to find what their "currency" was called? Was it called "Gold and Silver"? Any Help is much appreciated!
P.S. I am posting a series of questions concerning Carthage that I have been unsucessful in finding answers to.

From the late 19th century to the 1950s, America had laws known as the Jim Crow laws. These laws basically stated that there should be separate facilities (bathrooms, schools, etc.) for whites and blacks. Were Hispanics and Asians also barred from using white-only facilities?

After WW I, Most peole over 30 years of age in Europe and N America probably wished to return to a pre-1914 type of life. However, in a transformed world in which so much had been destroyed, a return to a pre-1914 type of existence was impossible. Was this really true? If so, why and if not Why?

Can anyone around the age of 30 to 35 living in the uk remember when you were at school and they were compiling an up to date version of the doomsday book it was going to be compiled on large silver discs the size of an old album. Probably the first version of a cd.
Can this record of the uk, which I remember being really in depth, be accessed today. Or did it just get forgotten about by the government.

To think that we study history with the knowledge that we will one day be history. When you think that history is sub divided into centuries, and again sub divided into the the life span of individuals, what fuels the fires to learn their stories?

Seems there's to be a new movie about Mountain Meadows.

I searched Q/A for what's been said about the event and found this:

http://answers.yahoo.com/search/search_result;_ylt=AsOgzASqHIHJ5_t0jP8.g5yHxQt.?p=Mountain+Meadows+Massacre

Seems there's a determination on the part of the hmmm Christian? Gentile? community to take it as an isolated event trapped in a span of time of a month or less.

Meanwhile, Mormons have squirmed and locked it down with secrecy since 1857.

The massacre can't be understood without an understanding of the horrid sufferings by Mormons at the hands of Christians for a couple of decades.

It also can't be defended, in any sense.

But Mormons are already battening down the hatches for another attempt at cover-up, while Mormon-haters are savoring it as another excuse for their favorite hatred.

Mountain Meadows is the work of men long-dead. So are the events leading to it.

I wonder if either of the two will ever get justice?
