Sure he won the Civil War, but it would have been difficult for even the worst President to lose that war (the north had so much more resources and fighting men).

But did Lincoln do a good job fighting the war? Did he have any major blunders or bad command decisions?

I know the generals do most of the commanding but people like FDR and Churchill certainly had a guiding hand with how their war was run. Was Lincoln the same way?

If so, what are the names? Or where would I be able to find information about them? Just curious to see if the one surviving child of Marie Antoinette had children.

I'm taking a class in Ancient Rome and am a little confused. My text says that "a Roman automatically became a senator when he became a magistrate."

The way I read this passage, if the comitia tributa or concilium plebis selected an aedile (for example), this individual was now automatically serving in the Senate for life? Or, is this individual now eligible to serve in the Senate at some point in the future? I understand cursus honorum, but I did not realize (if I'm reading this correctly) that once selected as a magistrate, he is automatically a senator.

What happened if there were already 300 senators (the maximum) and an aedile who was not previously a senator is selected? Would the senate ranks be automatically expanded to 301 to accommodate this new magistrate?

Please help.

England outlawed Slavery in 1833 yet still was a large buyer of Cotten from the Southern United States for the next 30 years. The assisted the Confederate States of America as best they could recieving ambassadors from the South and building the War Ships CSS Alabama and the CSS Shenandoah. They also supplied Sailors and equipment to the South. They did not enter the Civil War because of the offical govenment stance of neutraility. So my question is, Was the populace of England anti-slavery or were they amblivilant about the institution?

In a recent survey, 83% of 2pac fans believe that he is still alive.

2pac "died" on Friday the 13th.

2pac was supposedly cremated the day after his death. Since when is someone cremated the day after they die?

2pac was in the white cadillac with Suge Knight, the owner of death row records. 12 shots were fired. How could 2pac die from the shots and Suge not get hit at all?

In an interview with 2pac, he said he wanted to get completely out of the public eye. How do you get out of the public eye without dying?

In 2pac's video for "I Ain't Mad At Cha", he actually foretold his death.

The number 7- 2pac died when he was 25. 2+5=7 2pac was shot exactly 7 months after releasing "All Eyez On Me". 2pac lived for 7 days after being shot. Shot 7th. Lived 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, died on 13th. This could explain the "7 day theory." 2pac was pronounced dead at 4:03. 4+3=7 The first video released off "R U Still Down" was "Wonder If Heaven Got A Heaven." In the video, when 2pac and another lady go into a hotel room, it is very clearly shown that the hotel room is 7 on the door. Also, the clock says 4:03, the time of 2pac's death. In the movie "Gang Related", Tupac and Belushi wait in room 7, and 2pac's badge # is 115(1+1+5=7) In the "Toss It Up" video, 2pac breaks a mirror with a bat, which is 7 years of bad luck.

Why didn't Death Row Records, a very wealthy and powerful label, put out a reward for the murderers of 2pac?
