Amelia Earhart was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic in 1932. The flight took 14 hours and 56 minutes.
She also was the first woman to cross the Atlantic as a passenger in a plane in a 21 hour flight in 1928.

Total official time 14 hours 40 minutes.

PS. Parrotjohn and I have given you the same website link, which gives the time as 14h 40m.......so I don't know where he got his time from
