Yes, many Americans are still Patriotic, and still believe in fighting for freedom and justice. We support our troops, wether it is a good war or a bad war, These brave men and women are doing a job they are both qualified and trained to do, and they do so of their own free will, because they Love America, and they still believe in what America stands for.

That's the question Francis Scott Key asked himself over and over on that dark night in 1814. As dawn approached and shadows took shape and gained color, he peered at the main flag flying over Baltimore's Fort McHenry. Was it the Union Jack of the hated foe, or was it his own nation's glorious star spangled banner?
Suddenly, just enough light hit the big flag to answer Key's question. The second verse of our national anthem expresses what happened far better than I ever could:
On the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

If you are not asking rhetorically, and mean the actual flag that flew at Fort McHenry.... it still exists, but is not currently on exhibit. The Museum of American History is currently being overhauled, and will be closed until 2008. They are building a new display for the original flag.
