With all of the nuclear weapons out there in the world, are you suprised that someone has not used one in anger (not testing) since the ones used on Japan in 1945? It's really unusual that something that was only in its infancy when used in war (1945) did not see a repeated use. 1945 is like an eternity ago as far as weapons development goes. Given the number of unaccounted warheads in the world for instance, we have either been extremely lucky, or the whole "nuclear" threat was/is some kind of conspircay. Any thoughts on this?

I've found so many people on this site saying things like 'if it wern't for my country you would all be speaking German'. Point 1 the WW2 was a long time ago, why bring it up like that?? and point 2 a lot of very brave men lost their lives fighting for their country, most of the people making stupid comments have never and will never experience war so what right do they have to say such rubbish?

I'm writing a paper for my US History class that tries to go beyond the vague generalizations people tend to make when speaking about slavery. I couldn't really find anything that talked about Northern economy in regards to slavery. Does anyone have links to any articles that mention how the North felt it was more beneficial to emancipate slaves for monetary profit?

Write an essay in which you explain why you think that the Communist revolution in China was or was not primarily motivated by nationalism. Be sure to define "nationalism" in your answer and to include specific details to support your opinion. Remember this does not have to be long. Maybe two paragraphs are enough.
