I think the period was Dec.1941/Jan.1942. Their names were Griggs, Spooner and Mundy (Mundey?) and they were captains. I was a lad of 10 and my memory may be a bit hazy. Does anyone know what happened to them, did they survive the rest of the war, are any still alive ? My dad gave up his room to them and slept on the dining table. The rigours of the Japanese Occupation caused his heart condition to worsen and he died towards the end of 1942 here in Singapore.

How many were killed during the New York City Draft Riots? Was this the only instance of rioting or protesting? Why does it seem that only blacks were murdered in NYC and hunted by the mobs?

Yeah. Well I'm in grade 10, and I live in Canada, and was wondering if high school kids in the USA learn about Canada and how it was founded and stuff. Socials ten is basicly only about that and I got to say, it's not very exciting. I've always wondered if the people down south have to go through the boringness of Canadian history too or if we're just alone in the torture.
