As Ireland was ruled by England, and then part of the United Kingdom, slavery would have been abolished when slavery was abolished generally in the UK, in other words the slave trade was abolished in 1807, and by the Abolition of Slavery Act 1833 all slaves in the British Empire were given their freedom.

He died at an advanced age. March 17th is the day to honor or recognize the victory of our Sovereign King through St. Patrick. Shortly after Patrick's death, slavery was abolished in Ireland.
