How did the coming to power by Europe's middle classes affect the arts, literature, and music during this period? Is the middle class still a significant element in the creation and transmission of culture?

I saw a special on National Geographics. I had read that he was a man of color, but in the show he looked to be what we consider to be Caucasian.

Those characters are nearly mythological, but their families were real royals, and ruled over neighboring domains (Wallachia for the Draculesti, Transylvania for the Bathory), so the likelihood of marriages between members of those dynasties seem large. Can anybody confirm or infirm the rumor?

Please take into account all characaristics from number of deaths caused to hilarity of facial hair. The Dictator cannot be someone who was democratically elected so I will allow George Bush, but not Hugo Chavez.

I know in the future, China will be the major power player on the international affairs.

but first, I want to know, how far the have the Chinese shifted the power from the U.S.?

In other words, so far how much power the U.S. has lost to China, in dealing with the international matters? How much influence does China have to the world?

I know that France is no longer considered as a super power, and so as to the European nations.

I am in love with history and it saddens me that most people regard history as if it were nothing more than a collection of facts. For the love of God, can we have some intellectual discussions on history, instead of asking questions like when someone was born or what the definition of something is? I guess its unfair to expect the people here to have any deep interest in the field, I suppose i'm just frustrated. Anyone else out there that feels the same way I do? Good for you.

I'm looking for the title on a story i read when i was in middle school. It was about a little girl that was born deaf and blind and a teacher was brought in to help her. We read the story and the teacher then showed us the video. The video was black and white. I'm trying to find all the old stories that where converted into movies. Please if you guys remember any it would be great! I found to kill a mocking bird by hitchcock.
