America has alot of homosexuals and a thriving homosexual culture. The Greek generals and philosophers were all bi-sexual. Abe Lincoln may have been bi-sexual.

I recently acquired a hope chest, designed by Lane. It is cedar. The inside is in excellent condition with two Lane markings, a moth guarantee, and the bottom has numbers embrossed into the wood. I am refinishing it for my daughter's birthday, and I thought it might be interesting to present her with the history of the chest. If anyone has any information of where I can go to acquire this or might know something, I would appreciate their input. Thanks!

Do some archaeologist decide the meaning of an ancient word by associating it to some word which sounds like it....without reference to the context it is being used in the documents?

Apparently, there are arguments today on meanings of certain words. I saw in one film, that the Red Sea might've been the Reed Sea, because of the reeds growing there.

In line with that, Must we not preserve context very clearly to be benifitted by our descendants?

I'm wondering if several centuries back our forefathers forsake history as to make it obscure as it is now. Did they not care to seek the truth of the texts that much as we do now? Or was the existence of Christ and other debated historical 'facts' as clear as crystal to them and only obscured in this farther timeline. Thanks.

I'm black. I'm also English. I am also a woman who is African and Cuban so my ancestry in part was affected by slavery. But I personally am barely out of my teens. I know the full effects of slavery and although I was not there I am schooled on it and I know what it means to me. and my own personal beliefs are in 2006 there is nothing I can do about it except for to make sure I become an educated black woman, who goes on to have educated black children and make sure there is no repeat performance of any kind or make sure black people are seen as decent human beings in society. what is everyone elses take on this?
