like when was the first blue made, and how did they make it?

Colors are combination of light spectrum. Your eyes ctach the spectrum and interpreting them as the color you know.

Pigments is the name to the materials that absorb light except for the color they reflect. Pigments are usually extracted out of minerals or organic origin and they are mixed with a 'vehicle' like oil, gum, eggs, water etc... to create our painting materials.

the first colors used by humans in cave paintings were shades of brown and red obtained from natural oxidation of rocks. Blue was obtained from Lapis Lazuli, it was very expensive and that is why it was reserved for royalty.

Some of the minerals used to extract pigments from are very poisonous that's why there is great deal of research for synthetic pigments.

If you mean colors for paints, they were made from plants, flowers and berries, crushed up for the pigment.
