Actually the 15th and 16th centuries didn't have electricity so windmills would not have been used for that. However they were used to turn the grind stone and draw water from a well.

Windmills were important, as they were used to grind the grain to make flour - which could then have been made into bread.

i believe they live on raw foods , vegetables and fruits.
wind mills were used for generation of electricity, for taking out water from well, for grinding wheel
