What can I say? We're best friends that are always looking for what we have in common. She came up with the idea, today, of finding out how we were distantly related. Is it possible? Are there ways to find the information without eons of painstaking tracing?

I've been researching all sides of my fmaily history and found out that on my mother's side of the family going back 4 generations maternally there was a jewish great-great-great-great grandmother.
Also I have a couple other distant jewish relations but on my mother's paternal side.
My mother's brothers, grand uncles and grandfather alll looked very jewish btw. Olive skin, dark hair/ eyes and they were supposed to be just Scottish we thought.
Should I consider myself at all Jewish ?
Interestingly 5 of my 7 friends have all been jewish.
And if Im interested in dating a Jewish guy would this matter to him ?

Thanks

His mothers name, the best of my knowledge is Helen Rodriguez. Her birthdate is May 15, 1938. My son was born April 3, 1062, and his name on his birth certificate is Arnold Duane Edmonds Jr. He was born in Olongapo, Zambales, and the birth was assisted by a mid-wife. I would like to make contact with him and/or his mother. Any help in this matter would be appreciated. I was trying on another web-site for more than three years, and the site shut down due to health reasons by the gentleman who was searching for my son. Thank you for any and all help provided.

They had a baby girl, I think her name was Estelle, Estelle was born in 1926. Her mom, Alexina was 23 years old when she died. Mr Bastien moved away from Marionville to Ottawa and we never heard from him again. We are looking for Estelle or different name , does she have a family. Omer Bastien is dead. and probably remarried over the years.

O.K. So here's the problem. My g,g,grandpa's name is Joseph McDermond. I know his wife's name is Martha. But when I go to look for his parents name and on back further I am stuck. My second cousin has hit a dead end also. I have no credit card to buy the info from any genealogy sites. Does anyone know of this mans info from their own searching or of a site where I can finally get the answers? My tree is very lopsided. My mom's side goes all the way back to england. But my dads side stops very quickly to his great grandfather, my gg grandfather.
