And you have never been to Poland, never meet anyone on your mom family side and the polish that you know is what you taught yourself.
What would you do if your mom was living there because your parents divorced? But that land and that side of your family is total foreign to you?And you have not seen your mom in three years.

I am looking for a way to organise all the information I have about relatives but would also look for more information about my ancestors. I have seen a few family tree maker software packages but would like opinions on which is best.
So far, I am leaning towards Family Tree Maker 2006 which comes with all sorts of records on disc.

Batres is my married name. My husband is from Durango, Mexico where he has quite a few Batres relatives. Even though to me it seemed like a rare last name, I have noticed it pop up more lately.

My name is Benjamin Bongero, and I was told of my real father when I was around the age of 9-10. The where abouts of him have been unknown...until I got on this computer. My mother and I used to get calls,"silent calls", that i think were the verifacation that he may have had a son. My mom wrote to his family, wrote to him, and called 2-3 times, and he just denied it!
It seems as though he is ducking, and running from me...hmm. Now I am all grown up at an age of 17 and I'm ready to do this on my 18th birthday. It's sort of like a count down, you know? From the information that I have gathered already...He does'nt seem like he's doing well. I found out that he has moved around 4-5 times, IN THE LAST YEAR! It is beginning to worry me that I may not be able to meet him...ever!
Hes lived in Hartland,MI/South Lyon,MI/and the most recent, Garden City/MI! Which I live in Westland/MI. Close to home! Info I got:Thomas Alexander Kolodziejczak:age- 61:Garden City,unlisted and hiddin.HELP!

Does anyone know the best place to go, to get a dna test to determine your 'ethnic' make up, like they did in the channel 4 programme 100% English. There are various sites I have found but dont really understand what I am looking for. I dont want results which come through as a big long list of numbers and 'markers', I would like an analysis of the dna to say,, you're this percentage african or this percentage european etc etc and would like it broken down as much as possible.
Has anyone had this done and did they understand the results ok?
Does anyone know whether the tests are accurate or not.
I am located in London if that makes any difference to whats available.
thanks
