How can I find my biological father?

My name is Benjamin Bongero, and I was told of my real father when I was around the age of 9-10. The where abouts of him have been unknown...until I got on this computer. My mother and I used to get calls,"silent calls", that i think were the verifacation that he may have had a son. My mom wrote to his family, wrote to him, and called 2-3 times, and he just denied it!
It seems as though he is ducking, and running from me...hmm. Now I am all grown up at an age of 17 and I'm ready to do this on my 18th birthday. It's sort of like a count down, you know? From the information that I have gathered already...He does'nt seem like he's doing well. I found out that he has moved around 4-5 times, IN THE LAST YEAR! It is beginning to worry me that I may not be able to meet him...ever!

I'm worried about your disappointment too, but since you have already started searching let me give you some advice. There are a list of "possible relatives" on some of those people searches. Write them down. If you can't track him, you can at least track a few possible relatives. HE will get the message if you contact them (his relatives). Now weather he calls you or wants to have contact with you is going to be up to him.
I think silent calls are nothing more than stalking and harassment. I really hope you are up to this, because it could turn your world upsidedown in a matter of minutes.

im sry that ur father left u.But if u really want to find him yahoo! answers isnt the w8y. Try writing to differnt talkshows they are good at that type of thing.Oprah and Maury and Montell etc.really good. When i waz 3-4 my father did the same thing. i cried almost every night. Wondering y someone that i luv so truly would thz 2 me. My mom talks to hiz family they're really good friends with hiz side of tha family, i kno where he iz im jus not trying 2 find him. he left, not me.

Try Yahoo search. If the records are hidden you will have to pay but it is worth it. My biggest concern is you and you emotional health after you meet him. He may not be what you expect. If he still denies you request a DNA to be done.

Do you think maybe your excitement for this Quest is overriding the ability to interpret reality? It sounds to me like he isn't a very good person by ducking out all the time. Is that someone you want to know? or to give the proud name of Dad? As an adult, let go of that concept and think about it like this. . . can he give me closure? . . . do I really WANT to meet him? . . . what am I getting out of this? (besides potential pain?) Is it worth it?
