I know there are many arguments about this topic and most of them are leaning from the "Yes" side. However, I need to get some ideas for the "No" side. Thank you very much! :D

I remember when I read this book, I came across a passage in which it was explained how vast the universe was in terms of space and time, and that really, a human being takes up hardly any significance at all. I remember it was quite a moving and intelligent passage, but can i find it again? Not a chance! ALthough have been searching diligently for it. Can anyone help me, does anyone know this passage that I refer too? can anyone tell me what chapter it occurs in? I really want to find it again.

I can't remember the name of this book I read some years ago; all I can remember about it is that a government builds humanoid robots that can eat small amounts of food so they can avoid being detected as robots. I was reminded of it the other day and now it's really bugging me. Does anyone know what it might have been?

Thers are two harlenquin books I read awhile ago.. and I was wondering if anyone else has read them or knows what they are titled? I would love to read them again. One is about a girl who is in a hospital recovering from amnesia and finds out shes married but left her husband (and doens't remember why), and has triplet babies with him. And another is a girl who wakes up pregnant and alone with amnesia, and this guy helps her out (her ex but she doesn't know that), and it's his baby (but according to miscalculations is impossible so he doesn't know that) and she is a triplet and ran away after her sister died?
Sorry details are so slim it's been years!! Thanks!

Just an idea that's been in my head...there's more to it but I didn't feel like publicly posting it.

To explain myself, it's a story I'm writing. This is just the first chapter, and it kinda sucks...maybe it'll get better later? Could you tell me what you think please? Be honest...it sucks, right?

The past four books I have read have been by Stephen King....they're quick reads with palatable plots...but I fear the possibility of becoming one of his diehard fans is almost absolute.

I am open to any suggestions for books. Simply put, what are you reading. Name the book and a sentence or two about it. I've enjoyed books likes Catch 22 and Crime and Punishment..

Please avoid mentioning books that are most likely mandatory high school reads like Animal Farm, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, etc.

I want to use the same name for the book but I already have a copyright for the same name but for a different type of literary work. On the copyright form it asks if the new work is derivative or a compilation but the new work has nothing to do with the essay other than the title and I want a new copyright. Will it be a problem to get a new copyright for the book with the same title?

What is a good classic book to read? Should be middle-high school level, with not too many different dialects or speech...Please give short plot analysis (but not the ending!!) too.

I'm looking for a good book-well worth my time reading it. At the moment I am reading a book called Twilight about a girl who falls in love with a vampire. It's the first book I red that keeps me awake. Honestly it will be the first book I will actually finish. It's up to date, funny, and spooky.

I would love some suggestions for really good books. I enjoy reading
Dramas-Romance'es-action/adventures- and vampire stroys.

It has to be easy to comprehend, and keep a 15 year old interested.

Know of any?

I am considering pursuing a career in writing (mainly children's fiction) and want to ask writers what your daily schedule is like. Do you normally work from home? Do you have a part time job (and if so, what do you recommend)? Do you do research each day? What is the ideal daily schedule when pursuing a writing career? Basically, what is the schedule a serious writer develops for him/herself on a daily basis?
