I mean do they let you just come in, pick up a book from the shelf, sit in one of those oh-so-comfy chairs and read?

Watched Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas last night which is an adaptation of the novel by Hunter S. Thompson (I haven't read this). Does anyone have an opinion on whether Thompson was making any moral or political point with this novel? The film always leaves me feeling a little unsatisfied that nothing has really been resolved or achieved.

How should one begin to write a story or script? I'm a college student with a bad case of writers block as I "attempt" to create a story from scratch.

Whatever I end up writing will quickly be made into a small independent college film. I am on no deadline but sooner would be better.

I've sat in my room and out in the world trying to spark ideas, a story...but its hard to get started. I do feel confident that once I get the ball rolling things will be a little easier.

Any tips to get started writing?

Any writers would like to contact me and share some ideas?

Just click my Avatar and contact me. Thanks!

haha, it's a strange question, I agree but here's mine. One of the best ever...few words that started its way towards becoming one of the best books in the history of literature.

"Scarlett O'Hara was not beautiful, but men seldom realized it when caught by her charm..."

I don't know why, I can never forget that.

I want to get my girl a good book about love or showing her how much I love her. Anyone have any good ideas?

Ok so here's the thing, right now I'm working on editing a book that I finished writing close to a year ago but it's coming to a standstill. Largely because it's just hitting too close to home and I need a break. Okay truth is I haven't worked on it in months but I want to get back into writing. Thing is I'm not ready to get back to work on the YA novel. The other problem is that my mind is racing and I have all kinds of ideas for different stories to write but I don't know how to develop any of them right now. Does anyone have any suggestions? I want to work on some of the things racing through my head, partly in hopes that it will help slow them down a little, but not sure which one to work on right now.
