Most of us know the feeling. One of our favorite books is being made into a movie. We go see it with breathless anticipation and... Oh what a disapointment! The film neither captures the tone, the feel or the scope of the novel it was based on.

My question is, has it ever happened where you actually liked the film better?

The only exapmle I can think of is "The Wizard of Oz."

I have a few ideas and some more wouldn't hurt, if any one loves smallville, degrassi the next generation, life as we know it and some other teenage superhero and teen drama series, my book will have premises similar to those plus some new stuff as well I would really appreicate it of anyone could suggest some decent and serious ideas for names of the characters (either main or friends, families, villians, etc.) plots or scenarios, events. If you would like to also receive recognition if the book is finished or done, just leave a first name and last initial, or just initials. This is no joke, i'm serious and need some creative help. any ideas will be greatly appreciated and recognized. Thank you.

The title is something like: Practically Cousins
It is the story of two girls (aged thirteen when the story begins).
The girls are good friends . The story takes them from growing up in a small town (southern?) through to their late teens
When story begins the girls have found out about the existance of a lady who interests them.The ladies name is Felicity. They believe she is dead and start a club dedicated to finding out all about her :- the 'Felicity Rose Club' - Perhaps it was letters they found in an old trunk that started their curiosity - .
The book has line nice drawings.
At the end of the book the girls have visited Florence because Felicity loved it and one of the girls meets up with a young man from.home named Bill who's going to be a doctor ( he puts bandaids on her blisters in Florence (she's limping through the Uffizi when they run into eachother).
They all get home to find Felicity stlll alive and an old lady they get to go see her
