Love

Love is such a powerful word
a word people often misused
something token for granted
and something always abused.

Love is not something found
Or come a crossed
But something made,
Something created.
Love is always hated
And often debated
But forgotten,
And always lost.

Love is the greatest gift and
fate's cruelest curse
Because no one fights,
To make things better
But gives in and accepts the worst.

Same question, a little more detail. Ofcourse Rowling didn't write the books in question. That is why I added the word independant. So...if anybody wants to try and look for these books instead of just saying "Oh...Rowling only wrote six books" or "Rowling this, Rowling that" it would be really awesome. I am a huge Harry Potter fan and it almost kills me to know that its going to end. Thats why I'm trying so hard to find these books regardless of who wrote them. When you or I find and read one of them it will either be good or bad. Only time will tell. I know these books are out there. One of my co-workers has actually seen a couple of them. Thats why I won't give up. If you can help me I would be very greatful. Thank You!

I enjoy authors like Armistead Maupin, David Sedaris, Johnathan Carroll, Alice Sebold. Something lighter side with some humor would be preferred.

Banned books week is coming up and my coworker and I were selected to make a display in the library about it. The ALA's theme this year is circus-y, so based on that - help me brainstorm some ideas for a display we can put on the wall for all the patrons to see! :)

i could swear i heard it in a movie. its by ee cummings. this is going to kill me till i figure it out. help me??! maybe it was in Proof? HELPPPP.

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

Heres the poem.
Breathes there a man with soul so dead,
Who never to himself hath said,
' this is my own land, my native land.'
Whose heart hath never within him burned,
As home his footsteps he hath turned.
From wandering on a foreign strand,
If such thre breath go, mark him well.
For him no minstrel raptures swell;
High though his titles, proud his name,
Boundless his wealth as wish can claim;
Despite those titles, power and pelf,
The wretch, concentrated all in itself,
Living, shall forfeit reknown,
And doubly dying, shall go down
To the vile dust from whence he sprung,
Unwept, unhonoured, and unsung.

These lines are from The LAY OF THE LAST MINSTREL.
The poet is SIR WALTER SCOTT.
